Out and about in London town, we happened to bump into the editor of Futurefrock, Alice Wilby, and were very excited to chat to her about her trend-setting online magazine.
An up-and-coming source of high end fashion, beauty and lifestyle news, Futurefrock has been created for "discerning fashionistas who don't want to compromise their ethnical beliefs in order to feed their style fixes."
As strong ethical principles are so core to Chest of Drawers, we felt a Karmic connection to the ethos behind Futurefrock, and couldn't be more thrilled to learn about what inspires them.
Here are our favourite finds from their site. This photo shows a selection of Fairtrade and sustainable fashion from retailers including Oxfam, Komodo and Adita Zanditon. Gorgeous.
Newly launched by singer and model VV Brown, VV Vintage offers a new angle on online vintage shopping. VV and her partner, musician and entrepreneur Lola Peach have taken a sustainable approach, teaming up with Oxfam to create DWO (Design with Oxfam). This Oxfam endorsed program provides a platform where emerging talent customize and up-cycle pieces donated by Oxfam.
On a trip to Paris for the Ethical Fashion Shows, Futurefrock took some time out to visit Centre Commerical, Veja’s lifestyle store in the uber trendy Canal Saint Martin. Created by the two founders of Veja, Centre Commercial is a collective space which unites local, social and environmental initiatives. Definitely one for the travel diary!
Look out for our next blog on Futurefrock that's already in the pipeline...
